The ingredients (makes 2 tins): 1. Icing Sugar 2. Coffee 3. Lady Fingers biscuit, 2 packets (from Cold Storage) 4. Eggs (4 egg yolks & 2 egg whites) 5. Cocoa Powder 6. Mascopone Cheese (500 gm) | |
1. Prepare about 1 cup of black coffee (no sugar!) | |
2. Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. | |
3. Dip biscuits (top & bottom) slightly into coffee and lay on the base of tin. | |
4. Sprinkle with cocoa powder. | |
5. Add 3 dessert spoons of icing sugar to egg yolks. | |
6. Blend egg yolks and icing sugar. | |
7. Add in mascopone cheese and blend into smooth mixture. | |
8. Whisk egg whites until stiff. | |
9. Fold in egg white to the cheese mixture. | |
10. Spread 1 layer of mixture over the biscuits. (Optional: Place fruits - strawberry, etc.) | |
11. Add another layer of biscuits (as Step 3) on top of mixture. | |
12. Spread another layer of mixture over the biscuits. | |
13. Cover (with aluminium foil) and place in chiller for about 12 hours. | |
14. Sprinkle cocoa powder after Tiramisu has set properly. | |
